"Lights Up" Billet LED Truck Bed Lights Kit

Above is a reference to all tools needed to complete the installation of the "Lights Up" LED Truck Bed Lights Kit. Installation kits are sold seperately and do not come with each "Lights Up" kit.

This hole saw is used to cut the bottom of the pocket of the sheet metal of your truck bed to allow room for the "Lights Up" LED units.

This drill insert allows you to keep the hole saw centered and steady when making the initial first cut. You have only one chance to make this look good, please take your time and use caution.

This is a top view down of the Chevy truck bed stake pocket. The hole saw will not fit cutting from the top of the stake pocket and must be done from below the vehicle. Both driver & passenger side truck bed stake pockets must be cut and prepared.

This is a bottom view of the truck bed stake pocket from underneath the vehicle. Once you have centered the hole saw drill insert into the hole at the bottom of the stake pocket, cut through the bottom of the truck bed stake pocket from below the vehicle.

Once you have cut through the bottom of the stake pocket, remove or bend the excess sheet metal downward and away from the inside of the stake pocket. Deburring of the inside hole is recomended because damage to wires may occur during installation.

These mounting brackets allow the positioning of your "Lights Up" LED units into your truck bed stake pockets. Once installed, you can adjust for the tilt and height of the LED light units.

Remove the truck bed liner by removing the plastic snap-on pin. Remove any other bolts from the bed liner closest to the tail-gate.

There is a small pin hole at the top of the mounting bracket located between the two threaded mounting holes. This is used to locate the center line of the threaded holes.

Align the two threaded hole circle to the existing hole in the truck bed body. Use a square to line the top of the truck bed to the center of the locating pin hole. Mark a line below the bracket at the center point of the locating pin hole.

Use a marking device to measure 2" below from the center of the locating pin hole. A hole punch is recomended for use as a guide for the pilot hole needed to be drilled at the 2" mark.

WARNING: Remove mounting bracket before this step to avoid damaging the bracket. Use a 1/4" drill to make a hole at the 2" mark from the center of the locating pin hole. Please use caution!

Insert the mounting bracket into the stake pocket and line up all mounting hole points. Thread and hand tighten the mounting bolts like the picture listed above. The top threaded hole uses the set screw to tighten and lock the "Lights Up" unit to the mounting bracket.

The mounting bracket and the "Lights Up" LED unit has a 45 degree dovetail design that allows the LED unit to be dropped into place and taken out with ease. 

Once your "Lights Up" Automatic LED Truck Bed Lights Kit is dropped into place, tighten the third highest set screw on the mounting bracket to securely lock down the LED unit into the bracket and stake pocket.

Run wire along frame of vehicle to the fuse box in the dash of the driver side. Most new models of trucks have extra clamping space on electrical wiring underneath vehicle. Zip-Ties are recomended for areas with excess wire. Use self tapping screws to mount the electrical control box underneath the vehicle.

You can hard-wire your "Lights Up" LED light unit to your vehicles 12V battery or directly to the fuse box of your vehicle. Use the key-fob that is included with your kit to enjoy and start using your "Lights Up" Automatic LED Truck Bed Lights Kit.
